About Us: A Story of Love, Partnership, and Passion
Hi there! We're William and Latisha, the husband-and-wife duo behind William Ewart Photo. Our journey as photographers is deeply intertwined with our story as a couple, and we’d love to share a little about how we got here, why we love what we do, and how we work together to make your wedding day unforgettable.​
A Love Story in the Making

Our story began on February 3rd, 2023, when we met through an online Christian dating app called Upward. We started as friends, but not long after, William felt led by God to pursue a relationship with Latisha. We officially began dating on June 3rd, 2023. It didn’t take long for us to realize we had found "the one" in each other. By October 3rd, 2023, William proposed, and to continue the "3rd tradition" that we had accidentally started, we chose March 3rd, 2024, as our wedding day.
Getting married in the winter has a special meaning for us, and the season’s crisp air, soft light, and cozy, romantic atmosphere remind us of our own special day. That’s why we bring so much heart to every wedding we photograph—we know exactly how it feels to want every moment captured perfectly.
Building a Dream Together​
Photography has been a part of both of our lives for years. William started his photography journey in high school, going on to earn a BA in Photography and a second major in Digital Media with a minor in Journalism from Eastern Mennonite University in 2019. While he didn’t initially see himself getting into wedding photography, opportunities over the years to shoot weddings revealed his true passion for it. In early 2023, William officially launched William Ewart Photo while living in Rochester, working to get the business off the ground before moving to Buffalo after our engagement.

Latisha’s love for photography also began in high school, where she fell in love with film photography. She learned to shoot and develop her own photos and eventually transitioned to using a DSLR camera, focusing on family portraits and macro photography. Though she didn’t pursue photography in college, her passion for capturing meaningful moments never faded. As a native Buffalonian, Latisha loves this area of New York—and she’s a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. (She’s even converted William from being a Patriots fan!)
Together, our unique experiences and perspectives allow us to bring something special to every wedding we photograph. Latisha’s keen eye for detail and ability to connect with people complements William’s technical expertise and creative vision. We believe our combined strengths create the perfect balance of candid emotion and artistic beauty in every shot.

Our goal with William Ewart Photo is to serve our couples and ensure they get exactly what they want for their wedding day. We’ve seen how many photographers stick rigidly to specific packages, leaving couples feeling like their wedding has to fit into a box. That’s not how we work. While some couples’ weddings might align perfectly with a package, we understand that every wedding is unique. We’re more than willing to adjust and collaborate to make your day perfect, so you never feel like you’re compromising.
